Job summary

White Sands Integrative Medical seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient visits by preparing charts and notes, assisting nurses and medical staff, and helping track tests and lab reporting to keep care on schedule. You will also help manage inventory of supplies, set up machines and testing equipment, and clean instruments and rooms as needed.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning about a working medical environment, and prior office experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare administration or related fields.
• Familiarity with medical billing procedures.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment.
• Clean instruments and equipment after use.
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs.
• Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures.
• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner.
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff.
• Enter patient daily procedures into EHR.
• Perform and set up Physiotherapy Modalities on patients.
• Escort patients to exam rooms.
• Clean and prepare rooms/tables for next patient.
