Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program OR 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Completion of healthcare education course work (preferred).
• One year of healthcare experience (experience).

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patient to exam rooms; obtains initial information and vital signs.
• Prepares exam rooms for patients with attention to cleanliness and supplies.
• Assists with and/or performs exams, tests, and procedures.
• Schedules appointments and sets up referral contacts as needed.
• Assists provider during patient examinations and procedures.
• Educates patients on follow up expectations.
• Maintains quality control testing logs as required.
• Ensures all medical equipment is in proper working condition.
• Assists patients with completion of medical documentation.
• Assists with office administrative tasks and deposit of cash and related duties.
