Job summary

Temple Physicians Inc., Family Med Old Bustleton, is hiring a Medical Assistant for 37.5 hours per week. You will greet patients, support physicians and clinical staff, and help ensure smooth patient flow during visits.

You will perform reception and clerical duties, collect and enter patient demographics and billing information, prepare charts, update electronic medical records, schedule appointments, and collect payments in line with cash handling policies.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a medical assistant program or equivalent education.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant or Cert Clin Medical Assistant is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• 1 year of medical assisting experience in a physician office, nursing facility or hospital is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients at the time of visit.
• Provide reception, administrative and clerical support and assist with patient procedures.
• Collect and enter patient demographics and billing information; prepare charts; update EHRs; and collect payments per cash handling policies.
• Support other Temple Health clinical practices when skills align.

Other Combination of relevant education and experience in lieu of attending a medical assistant program
