Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to greet patients, perform reception and clerical tasks, and assist physicians and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role involves collecting demographic and billing information, scheduling, updating EMRs, and preparing charts. Licensing requirements include CMA/RMA/Cert Clin MA and BLS; prior clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Non degree program graduate from a medical assistant program (Required)
• Combination of relevant education and experience in lieu of attending a medical assistant program (Preferred)
• 1 year experience providing medical assistance in a physician office, nursing facility or hospital (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant or Cert Clin Medical Assistant (Required) and Basic Life Support (Required)

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and complete forms.
• Collect payments and enter patient demographics and billing information.
• Prepare charts and schedule appointments; update electronic medical records as appropriate.
• Support other clinical practices in the organization where skills align
