Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and minor procedures.
• Manage patient records and enter data into EHR systems accurately.
• Schedule patient appointments, coordinate referrals, and handle patient inquiries.
• Perform billing, coding, and processing of insurance claims to support reimbursement and maintain a clean clinical environment.
• Educate patients on medication instructions and follow-up care.
