Job summary

UNTWN Uniontown Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant Non-Certified to support patient care across WVU Medicine clinic locations. You will greet patients, take vitals, prepare exam rooms, and assist during visits and procedures.

The role requires completing a medical assistant program or having 1 year of clinical experience, with BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Travel between facilities is required, and 40 hours per week are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or 1 year clinical experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms and obtain initial information and vitals.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and supplies are available.
• Assist with exams, tests, and procedures as directed.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients on follow-up expectations.
• Maintain quality control logs and ensure equipment is functioning.
• Handle basic medical documentation and office tasks.
• Assist with deposits and closing office duties as needed.
• Travel between WVU Medicine clinic locations to support care needs.
