Job summary

Providence Swedish Health Services DBA Swedish Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant II to join our patient-centered team. This role supports licensed practitioners and performs duties to assist in delivering care under established policies. Candidates must have clinical training in MA programs, certification upon hire, and BLS.

Experience with vital signs, injections, and medication administration is expected. Seattle location with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on MA clinical training, or
• Graduate of a registered MA apprenticeship program, or
• Has completed two years of medical training in the US Armed Forces, or
• Minimum one year of MA work experience with vitals, injections, and meds
• Washington MA Certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 6 months healthcare experience.
• 6 months MA experience.

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or

• Coursework/Training: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or

• Coursework/Training: Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration

• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

• 6 months Healthcare experience.

• 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
