Job summary

A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Medical Assistant for a Primary Care Clinic in Minnesota. This part-time position offers 20 hours per week (2 or 3 days) with potential for full-time by agreement with the manager. Hours include weekdays and weekend coverage as needed.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, vitals, vaccinations, and maintaining a positive patient experience. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and MA certification/licensure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be certified or licensed as a Medical Assistant.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience is highly preferred, particularly in primary care, urgent care, emergency room, family medicine, or internal medicine settings.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients warmly and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a positive clinic experience.
• Room patients, collect medical histories, obtain vital signs, and collect specimens for point-of-care testing.
• Prepare and administer vaccinations and provide patient education.
• Perform point-of-care testing and maintain quality control procedures.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality by following HIPAA and PHI requirements.
• Manage patient check-in/check-out and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Answer calls, take messages, and provide information to patients as needed.
• Assist patients with questions regarding insurance, copayments, billing, and service charges.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked clinical and patient areas.
• Monitor and order medical supplies to support daily operations.
• Communicate patient care and operational concerns to the provider and clinic team.
• Support efficient clinic workflow, wait-time expectations, and overall patient satisfaction.
• Participate in community outreach to support clinic growth and engagement.

Hours Part-time: 20 hours per week (2 or 3 days per week)

Business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–7:30 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM; Sunday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM

Full time may be possible if discussed and agreed upon with manager

Assignments are expected to last six months; Opportunities for extension and conversion to full-time employment may be available.

Compensation

$27.73 per hour
