Job summary

Providence Health & Services in Oregon seeks a Medical Assistant to support the Tanasbourne site, collaborating with the nursing team and PCP to deliver basic patient care. The role combines administrative and clinical duties in a patient-focused setting.

  • National Medical Assistant Certification on hire.
  • 1 year of MA experience in a healthcare setting.

This position will be supporting our Tanasbourne site.

Schedule

Monday-Friday Day shift

The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with the nursing team and primary care provider (PCP) to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned participants. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. A MA is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Has completed an accredited Medical Assistant program that includes an externship or has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, Or equivalent education/experience
  • Coursework/Training: Completion of an approved phlebotomy program or other allied health program that includes phlebotomy training in its curriculum or phlebotomy training completed within 60 days of hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare setting.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $23.27 - $35.60
