Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a Medical Assistant training course at a vocational/technical school.
• Preferred completion of a Medical Assistant externship and two+ years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care and clerical duties essential to coordinating optimal patient care.
• Schedule patients, assist with hygiene/toileting, mobility, and interdepartmental transportation.
• Take vital signs, charting, order supplies, and maintain patient areas; conduct chart audits and collaborate with all department areas.
