Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist in providing nursing care to practice patients, perform lab work and venipuncture, and ready patients for exams.

You will assist providers with exams and procedures, administer injections and treatments as ordered, coordinate patient calls and walk-ins in emergent situations, and support other medical group functions while complying with policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certification required.
• CCMA or RMA preferred.
• Preferred: 2+ years of patient care in outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in nursing care to practice patients and help maintain the medical group practice.
• Provide direct patient care by performing lab work and venipuncture and readying patients for exams.
• Assist providers with exams and procedures and administer injections and treatments as ordered.
• Coordinate patient calls/walk-ins in emergent situations and support other functions as needed.
