Job description

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support our Amherst practice onsite, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and support our West Hatfield location on Tuesdays.
The hours for this role are 8:00am-5:30pm. Our Medical Assistants work autonomously to the top of their education/certification and collaborate closely with nurses and providers. Each Medical Assistant works 1-to-1 with their assigned provider.

Responsibilities:
  1. Escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, and clean/restock exam rooms.
  2. Perform patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practice, including EKGs and point-of-care testing.
  3. Maintain confidentiality of patient records, including treatment, diagnosis, history, medication, and financial information.
  4. Assist with electronic prescriptions, medical authorizations, and reconciliations as instructed by providers.
  5. Communicate lab, imaging, and prescription results to patients following practice protocols.
  6. Coordinate pre-visit preparations, including addressing patient needs, scheduling labs/tests, and organizing electronic charts.
  7. Assist providers with office procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
