Our Orthopedics & Sports Medicine team at Cooley Dickinson Medical Group is dedicated to specialized treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal issues, offering expertise in sports medicine, trauma, hand & upper extremities, joint replacement, and spine care.

Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our Orthopedics and Sports Medicine office at our West Hatfield location. The role involves working onsite Monday through Friday, with hours from 7:30am-4:00pm or 7:45am-4:15pm.

Our Medical Assistants work autonomously to the top of their education and certification, supporting providers and working closely with patients.

Responsibilities

1. Escort patients, take vital signs, and restock exam rooms.
2. Perform patient care procedures within scope, including EKGs and point of care testing.
3. Maintain patient confidentiality and assist with electronic prescriptions, lab and imaging results, and pre-visit preparations.
4. Support providers with office procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Certification: BLS and Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• 1-2 years of MA or relevant medical field experience required.
• Skills: Communication, prioritization, accuracy, confidentiality, medical terminology, EHR proficiency, problem-solving, time management.
