Job description

Medical Assistant - Orthopedics - Days/Evenings - Traveling - II

Under general supervision of the clinic supervisor and following established procedures, the Medical Assistant prepares patients for physical examinations, obtains specimens, conducts routine laboratory tests, performs phlebotomy, and records results. The assistant also performs clinical and administrative tasks under delegated supervision of a physician. This busy orthopedic office supports over 10 physicians and staff, with a focus on flexibility for travel to multiple locations, including Elmhurst, Lombard, Plainfield, Naperville, and Addison. The scheduled locations will be determined based on clinic needs.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) through recognized agencies such as AAMA, ARMA, NHA, or others, with at least 6 months of clinical experience. Current CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross is required. A valid driver's license and automobile liability coverage are necessary if performing duties at off-site locations. Flexibility in scheduling, including overtime, evenings, and Saturdays, is essential. Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.
