Corewell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Orthopedics Elective - Medical Group West in Grand Rapids. The role supports a fast-paced clinic focused on non-operative and operative sports medicine, joints, hand, foot/ankle, and podiatry.

Full-time, Day shift, 40 hours/week, 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Monday to Friday. Eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants or CHW MA Apprentice Students.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program required.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Either CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA certification required within 120 days.

Responsabilidades

• Assist clinicians in delivering patient care in orthopedic clinics.
• Support daily clinic operations and patient flow.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Educación

AHA/ARC BLS Certification

About The Unit

We provide a wide range of care in several orthopedic subspecialties. These are non-operative and operative sports medicine, joint replacement, hand surgery, foot/ankle surgery, and podiatry. We are a dynamic and fast-paced practice that sees many different injuries and pathologies. Our practice is very hands on due to the nature of orthopedics. Patient centered, teamwork, adapting to change, efficient, learning mindset. Monthly and annual staff events/celebrations. Eligibility for Orthopedic Professional Development Fund which has helped staff with items such as continuing education, certifications, community service projects, and mission trips.

About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
