Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Rochester campus. You will work under providers and nursing leadership to deliver compassionate patient care, handling administrative and clinical tasks to support the team.

Responsibilities include patient greeting, history taking, vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures, while contributing to a positive patient experience. A valid MA credential and BLS-C are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• MA program with 160-hour externship or 1 year of clinical MA experience in last 5 years or MA certification with 1 year experience.
• Current BLS-C certification on hire or by end of orientation.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with a 160-hour clinical externship, OR one year of clinical medical assisting experience within the past five years, OR current professionally recognized Medical Assistant certification with one year of experience, OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Licensed Paramedic/EMT with one year of clinical experience, OR military-trained medical personnel with one year of clinical experience.
• Current BLS-C certification upon hire or completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
