As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will support our clinical team by:

  • Providing Patient Care: Assisting clinicians in gathering relevant information for patient visits and conditions.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly communicating with patients via phone and in person.
  • Team Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to coordinate patient care, with attention to detail and follow-through.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (certification required upon hire)
  • Or at least one year of Medical Assistant experience (verified upon hire)
  • Or current RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers, obtained prior to start date
  • Basic computer skills in word processing and data entry
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in outpatient clinics or healthcare settings
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Current national MA certification (e.g., RMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMA)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to see, read, and operate equipment; manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift and transfer patients and supplies
  • Ability to walk, stand, and navigate busy clinical environments
  • For roles requiring driving: ability to operate a vehicle safely
  • Verbal communication skills for interacting with patients and staff, including during emergencies

The hourly rate for this position is $19.97 - $29.74, depending on experience.
