Job summary

Hand and Reconstructive Surgeons and Associates is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA/LPN) to support Premier Health Physician Companies. You will routinely see patients, rooming them, collecting vitals, administering injections, EKGs, and performing basic testing under supervision.

Responsibilities include wound care, dressing changes, pulmonary tests, hearing/vision screenings, and accurate documentation. CPR within 3 months and HIPAA compliance are required; EPIC EMR familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program and/or will be a Certified Medical Assistant.
• Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.
• CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab testing, dressing changes, wound care, hearing and vision tests.
• Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
• Support the Practice Manager and physicians to deliver excellent patient experience.
