Responsibilities

- The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care by taking vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor. This position requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals.

- The Clinic Nurse assumes responsibility for patient care delivery under physician supervision, requiring similar competencies and safety adherence.

Qualifications

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification/Registration; OR 6 months of Clinic MA experience; OR successful completion of the INTEGRIS Health Caregiver Placement Program (CPP).
• 6 months customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
• Effective communication skills in English (Verbal/Written).

Clinic Nurse Qualifications:

• Current licensure as an LPN or RN in Oklahoma or a multistate license via Nurse Licensure Compact (NCLEX).
• Previous work experience preferred.
• BLS and/or ACLS as required.
• Effective communication skills in English (Verbal/Written).

Additional Requirements

- Incumbents may need to operate INTEGRIS or personal vehicles, requiring valid driver’s licenses from the respective states and acceptable driving records.

Physical Demands and Safety

- Moderate exposure to hazards including infections, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Follow standard precautions. Additional physical demands vary by role and location, including driving in inclement weather and working in unsanitary environments in some cases.
