Medical Assistant or LPN - Ortho Surgery

Position Details
  • Location: Tampa, FL
  • Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
  • Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday

Responsibilities
  • Patient histories, routine lab procedures, and specimen preparation
  • Follow-up on test orders, report results, provide patient education, maintain medical equipment, and order supplies
  • Create and maintain patient electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements

Certification and Licensure:

  • BLS within 30 days of hire
  • Approved Medical Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire or active license/certification
  • Alternatively, EMT, NREMT, Paramedic, or LPN

If not certified or licensed, you must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within 90 days of employment, with passing within 6 months, or employment may be terminated.

Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Technical Medical Assistant certification and 2 years of experience
