Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $21.45 - $32.20 for an MA or $23.65 – $35.50 for an LPN, based on qualifications, skills, experience, and training.

Major Responsibilities
  • Prepare and room patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and health information, monitoring clinical quality measures, and notifying clinicians of opportunities.
  • Perform lab procedures such as strep tests, wound cultures, specimen collection, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines.
  • Assist physicians/APCs with procedures like pelvic exams, allergy testing, EMG, cautery, colposcopy, etc.
  • Administer routine medications under physician orders or approved protocols, including immunizations, antibiotics, vitamins, and topical agents.
  • Follow through with test requests, care algorithms, appointments, and referrals, communicating with team members and patients effectively.
  • Perform clinical support tasks such as suture removal, lab procedures, phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry, Holter monitoring, and prescription refills under supervision.
  • Provide age-appropriate care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles, and interpret patient data to meet their needs.
Licensure or Certifications

LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse license, and BLS certification within 45 days unless exempted.

MA: BLS certification within 45 days unless exempted.

Degrees

GED or HS Equivalency Diploma; LPN: completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program; MA: completion of an approved Medical Assistant program or recent verifiable experience.

Experience Required

Experience as MA or LPN preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Perform routine and complex technical skills within scope after competency demonstration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical records.
  • Customer service skills supporting positive patient experiences.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and perform various physical activities.
  • Lift up to 35 pounds independently; use patient handling equipment for heavier lifts.
  • Operate necessary equipment and wear protective gear as needed.
