Job summary

Essentia Health's Proctor Clinic seeks an LPN/CMA to assist physicians and nurses in ambulatory care, delivering direct patient care across ages from newborn to elderly.

The role requires current LPN licensure in MN or WI or CMA certification with timely certification; BCLS is required or obtainable within 3 months. 0.8 FTE with day rotation is offered, with a supportive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold LPN licensure in MN or WI, or CMA certification with timely certification
• BCLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
• Experience assisting in ambulatory care settings is preferred

Job Description:

Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated. Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in appropriate state, i.e. Minnesota, Wisconsin, OR current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR Verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified withinone year of date of hire. (Must pass certification withintwo attempts), OR if Essentia Health trained CMA Apprentice must have completion of Medical Assistant Program and become certified within 6 months of transfer. (applicable to any CMA apprentice hired after 7/1/26)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months.(Department 46680 – Registry Management Team: BCLS certification is not required)
