Schedule: Full-time / Days / 80 hours per pay period

Position Summary

A Certified Medical Assistant at Premier Physician Network typically sees over 30 patients daily and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers.

Our Certified Medical Assistants are vital to our operations, helping deliver the best Patient Experience — every patient, every time.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and taking vitals
• Performing pulmonary function tests, administering injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests
• Assisting with other duties as assigned
• Maintaining attention to detail and excellent documentation

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant from a recognized program
• Prior ambulatory healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to learn center tasks and assist management and physicians
• Self-motivated with high standards for patient care and customer service
• CPR certification within the first 3 months of employment
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA laws
