Baptist Urgent Care in Collierville, TN is seeking experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team. The Medical Assistant role provides clinical and administrative support, including patient prep, vitals, provider assistance, and accurate record-keeping.

Full-time positions offer rotating shifts (36-40 hours/week), with weekend work on a rotating basis, competitive pay and benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, CE reimbursement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Willingness to get AR Limited X-Ray License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly in waiting area, exam rooms, and imaging areas.
• Communicate wait times and guide patients through the treatment process.
• Handle patient questions and escalate emergent situations as needed.
• Perform follow-up calls with urgency and accuracy.
• Assist front desk with check-in/out procedures as required.
• Record and document vitals, history, medications, allergies, and other pertinent data.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient visits and records.

Baptist Urgent Care is looking for experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team in Collierville, TN.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting providers, and maintaining accurate records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
• Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process
• Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations
• Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
• Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
• Assists with patient transfers
• Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?

Full-time team memberswork a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
