Primary Healthcare Centers (PHC) seeks a flexible Medical Assistant or LPN to serve as a Floater across Fort Oglethorpe locations. You will deliver direct clinical support, prepare patients, assist with exams, and help manage medications and labs.

You will thrive in a varied environment, travel between sites as needed, and contribute to a team that values compassion, quality care, and collaboration in a nonprofit FQHC setting.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification or diploma required for MA.
  • Clinical experience preferred.
  • Current Georgia LPN license required.
  • Previous medical office or outpatient experience preferred.

Responsabilités

  • Provide direct clinical support to providers during patient visits.
  • Prepare patients for examinations with histories, vitals, meds, and allergies.
  • Assist with examinations and procedures, including wound care and injections.
  • Administer medications and manage inventory.
  • Collect, process, and perform routine lab tests.
  • Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and equipment.
  • Assist with patient communication, referrals, scheduling, and follow-up.
  • Track immunizations and vaccine inventory.
  • Maintain documentation in the EMR.
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and PHC policies.
  • Support PCMH initiatives and chronic disease management.
  • Float between PHC locations as needed.

Are you a compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) looking for a dynamic role where no two days are the same? Primary Healthcare Centers (PHC) is seeking a Floater to provide clinical support across multiple PHC locations in the Fort Oglethorpe area.

As a Floater, you'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of providers and patient populations while helping ensure exceptional care is delivered wherever you're needed most. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is adaptable, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Travel between PHC locations is required based on staffing and patient care needs.

What You'll Do
  • Provide direct clinical support to providers during patient visits.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories, vital signs, medications, and allergy information.
  • Assist with examinations and procedures, including wound care, injections, EKGs, blood draws, GYN exams, specimen collection, and other clinical services within your scope of practice.
  • Administer medications and maintain medication sample inventory.
  • Collect, process, and perform routine laboratory testing.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms while ensuring equipment is properly maintained and supplies remain current.
  • Assist with patient communication, medication refill requests, referrals, scheduling, and follow-up care.
  • Track immunizations and assist with vaccine inventory.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and PHC policies and procedures.
  • Support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives and chronic disease management.
  • Float between PHC clinic locations as needed to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications
Medical Assistant
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification or diploma required.
  • Clinical experience preferred.
Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Current Georgia LPN license required.
  • Previous medical office or outpatient experience preferred.
