Job summary

Aria Care Partners is seeking a field-based Optometry/Ophthalmic technician to support clinics within a multi-state network. You will arrive before the doctor to set up, transport patients between exam areas, and assist with vision pretesting and scribing as needed.

The role requires travel within a 3-hour radius, with overnight lodging for longer distances. This full-time position offers mileage reimbursement, some work-from-home days, PTO, holidays, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Driver's license required with clean driving record.
• Optometry/Ophthalmic technician experience preferred but not mandatory.
• EMR documentation experience preferred.
• Ability to escort elderly patients and transport up to 200 lbs.

The Position

• Arrive at the clinic before the doctor to setup at the facility.
• Transport patients to and from the exam area at the facility.
• Assist the doctor with vision pretesting, working with eyeglasses and scribing as needed.

Location

This position covers their home market which includes driving up to a 3-hour radius. For locations greater than 2.5 hours, the company offers overnight lodging and meals. Mileage reimbursement is included, as well as paid time for all driving that exceeds normal commute time.

This is a full-time benefit eligible role, working 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) with two weeks of travel per month to Tampa, FL.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive to clinics that are typically within a 3-hour radius. Must have reliable transportation.
• Optometry/Ophthalmic technician experience preferred but not mandatory
• Prior EMR documentation experience strongly preferred 1+ years (medications, ICD-10, preliminary findings, etc.)
• Ability to transcribe basic medical notes into computer. Training on software provided.
• Ability to escort elderly walking clients or transport clients in wheelchairs, typically weighing up to 200 pounds.
