**As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will support our clinical team by:**

  1. Providing Patient Care: Assisting clinicians by gathering relevant information during patient visits.
  2. Effective Communication: Interacting clearly with patients via phone and in person.
  3. Team Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality patient care, with attention to detail and follow-through.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (certification required upon hire)
  • Or at least one year of Medical Assistant experience (verified upon hire)
  • Or current RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers, obtained prior to start date
  • Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively to deliver high patient satisfaction
  • Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Utah only: If certified with less than one year of MA experience, attend a yearlong MA residency program

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience in outpatient clinics or healthcare settings
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and relevant software
  • Current national MA certification (RMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMA)

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Visual acuity for reading information and operating monitors
  • Verbal communication and hearing for interacting with patients and staff
  • Manual dexterity for equipment manipulation and documentation
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist with patient mobility and equipment
  • Ability to navigate crowded environments and stand for extended periods
  • For roles involving driving: ability to operate a vehicle safely

The hourly rate ranges from $19.20 to $27.35, dependent on experience.
