Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Medical Assistant at the District Oncology/Hematology clinic in Henderson, NV. This full-time role supports clinicians, assists during visits, and ensures accurate information gathering for patient care.

Responsibilities include clear patient communication, teamwork across departments, and maintaining privacy of PHI. A MA program completion or MA experience, plus BLS and basic computer skills, are required or preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program OR at least one year of MA work experience OR current RN/LPN license to practice nursing in Utah.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills and data entry; professional interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care under clinician supervision and assist the provider with visit-related information.
  • Communicate clearly with patients via multiple modalities, including in person and by phone.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
