Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Moross Road campus on Detroit's east side and the Grosse Pointes. You will support providers with clinical tasks, collect histories, record vital signs, and prepare patients for exams in a supportive, team-based environment.

The role requires completion of an MA program (externship preferred) or equivalent clinical experience and BLS-C certification at hire or by orientation. EPIC EMR experience is a plus.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
• Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
