Responsibilities

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by a physician. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / License or Certification Required

  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / License or Certification Preferred

  1. Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
  2. One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
  3. Other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
  4. Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
Work Hours:

7:15 AM - 4:30 PM
