Job summary

Duly Health and Care Naperville is seeking a Medical Assistant- OB-GYN to support physicians during exams, take vital signs, assist with registrations, and manage patient flow in a busy clinic.

You will perform onsite lab testing (EKG, pulmonary function, glucose, urine pregnancy tests), assist with immunizations, and help with prescriptions and charting; some travel to nearby clinics may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or related health sciences coursework.
  • Active Medical Assistant Certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA or AAMA.
  • CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire.
  • Phlebotomy certification may be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior experience as MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years in a medical office assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
  • Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
  • Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
  • Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
  • Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
  • Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
  • Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
  • Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Education

High school diploma or GED
Medical Assistant educational program
Active Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA)
CPR certification
Phlebotomy certification (within 90 days)
Prior MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years in medical office

Clinic Hours 7:30am - 6:00pm Monday - Friday.

Qualifications

  • Several Of Our Clinical Specialties Including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, And Family Practice, Require Active Medical Assistant Certification Through One Of The Following
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • National Health career Association (NHA)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
  • May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
  • Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
