Job description

Work Type:

Full Time

Shift:

Shift 1 / 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, M-F

Pay Rate:

$18.64 - $23.30 per hour (minimum to midpoint)

Summary:

Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus and $5,000 Relocation Assistance (if located more than 50 miles away)

The Medical Assistant provides excellent customer service in a team environment while assisting in all aspects of medical practice under supervision. Responsibilities include patient safety, phlebotomy, point of care testing, minor procedures, lab specimen processing, operation of medical equipment, patient instructions, medication handling, and documentation. The role involves coordinating information and prescriptions, maintaining patient care areas, and may require late hours, holidays, and weekends. Other duties as assigned by the department manager or supervisor.

Requirements:
Education:

High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, especially if preparing for national certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA).

Experience:

Medical assistant experience is preferred but not required for recent graduates of an accredited program. One year of experience in a physician's office or outpatient hospital setting may substitute for a diploma.

License:

Not required.

Certifications:

Preferred certifications include CMA, CCMA, or RMA. BLS certification (American Heart Association) is required within the first 90 days of employment.

Other Skills:

Knowledge of medical terminology, good communication skills, and basic computer skills are required. Early/late hours and weekends may be necessary.
