MATH TUTOR FOR NURSING PROGRAM - PART TIME - DAYS
Schedule is: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday from 4pm to 10pm, and Sunday 12p to 5pm or 5pm to 10pm Eastern Time for a total of 12-24 hours a week - Remote
Are you a Medical Assistant or Nurse with a strong foundation in dosage and mathematics?
Ross is looking for academic tutors to provide individual and group tutoring to help students
- Grow and become more independent learners and succeed in college
- Reach their goals
Our tutors provide individual and/or group tutoring to students. Tutors will meet with students to clarify and review mathematical concepts taught in class, explain processes and help students solve specific problems. Ross tutors will work with the instructors to support their students.
Tutors Will Be Responsible For The Following
- Breaking down Nursing and Medical Assisting math lessons, specifically for things like dosage calculation, drip rates, etc.
- Tutors study lesson plans and review textbooks to help ensure understanding.
- Meet with students to review and clarify math concepts taught in class.
- Helping students solve mathematical problems.
- Providing study skills and alternative methods of studying.
- Communicating with instructors and Tutor manager to help further the students along their educational goals.
- Modeling successful learning techniques, strategies, attitudes, and beliefs that successful learners use.
Requirements
- Must supply own equipment: Laptop/Desktop, Webcam, Microphone and dependable high-speed internet access
- Must have quiet, calm dedicated workspace
- Must live/work within driving distance to a Ross campus (MI, OH, IN, KY, TN)
- Must have patience, positivity, empathy, confidentiality, technical knowledge, active listening, communication, and leadership skills
- Ross Graduate or former Ross Instructor Strongly Preferred
