Job summary

The Brevard Health Alliance Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a Nurse Practitioner Residency. The MA will accompany the NP Resident across Brevard County clinics, provide clinical and administrative support, and ensure smooth patient flow within the residency program.

Ideal candidates bring MA education/certifications, HIPAA basics, EMR proficiency, and the ability to travel between assigned locations to support the NP Resident’s clinical training and patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or an associate degree in Medical Assisting.
• NCCA-accredited MA certification or registration, or 2+ years of MA experience in lieu.
• Completion of education and training for Specialty Medical Assistant classification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and workflow support to NP Resident.
• Travel with NP Resident to home clinic and approved training locations.
• Prepare for patient-care and workflow needs.
• Assist with examinations, vitals, and medical histories.
• Administer medications or vaccinations as directed.
• Maintain accurate EMR entries and documentation.
