Job Overview

Under the direction of the provider and as a member of the healthcare team, assists in coordinating patient examination, treatment, and healthcare planning. Supports office functions to enhance patient care and operations, following all protocols, policies, and workflows.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist in patient care coordination under supervision of healthcare providers.
  • Prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs, document information, and assist with screenings.
  • Perform back-office testing following protocols.
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Provide follow-up with patients as directed, notify test results.
  • Prepare exam rooms, manage supplies, and sterilize instruments.
  • Perform lab controls, administer medications, and document accurately in EHR.
  • Perform clerical duties and may float between locations as needed.
Qualifications

Minimum

  • High School / GED
  • Completion of Medical Assistant Program or 1 year of relevant experience
  • CPR (American Heart Association)
  • Act 34, 33, and 73 Clearances

Certification Requirements

  • Must obtain certification within 120 days if not already certified.
  • Accepted certifications include NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA.

Preferred

  • Associate's Degree
