Qualifications

• Credentialed Medical Assistant preferred with high school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Non-credentialed candidates require relevant experience or completion of a Medical Assistant Program.

What you will do as a Medical Assistant:

As a clinical professional, you will assist Physicians & Advanced Practice Providers in clinics and physician offices. Your responsibilities include preparing patients for visits by collecting medical histories, recording vital signs, prepping for exams, assisting with medical procedures, blood draws, vaccinations, and injections. You will also assist with patient scheduling, referrals, insurance, pre-authorizations, and billing.

What’s Required:

CREDENTIALLED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization
• BLS certification preferred; must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained

NON-CREDENTIALLED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One year relevant experience in a healthcare setting or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program
• BLS certification preferred; must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained
