Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or 1 year of clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Preferred: healthcare education coursework.

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patient to exam rooms and gathers initial information.
• Prepares exam rooms with cleanliness and supplies.
• Assists with exams, tests, and procedures as needed.
• Schedules appointments and referral contacts.
• Supports provider during patient examinations and procedures.
• Educates patients on follow-up expectations.
• Maintains quality control testing logs.
• Ensures medical equipment is in proper working condition.
• Assists with medical documentation completion for patients.
• Supports general office tasks: phones, messages, data entry, deposits.
