Job summary

Morrow County Health District is seeking a Medical Assistant - Non Certified OPT to work as an Occasional Part-time float across four clinics in Heppner, Ione, Irrigon, and Boardman, OR. The role pays $26.08 per hour with a four-month probationary period.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to obtain BLS certification, and prefers MA certification with phlebotomy experience. Pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be able to obtain a BLS certification.
• MA Certification and phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and perform procedures including vital signs, EKG, and oximetry testing.
• Perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
• Record and update information in the patient’s electronic medical record.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and outdates are removed from supply areas.
• Assist providers and complete authorizations/referrals as requested.

Morrow County Health District has an opening for a Occasional Part-time float Medical Assistant who will work at any of our 4 clinics.
Pay rate: $26.08/ hour, standard four-month probationary period.
Job Duties:

• Provide patient care and perform a variety of procedures and assessment duties including vital signs, EKG, Oximetry testing.
• Performs phlebotomy and administers injections.
• Records and updates information in patient's electronic medical record.
• Ensures supplies are adequately stocked and outdates are pulled from supply areas.
• Assists provider as necessary and completes authorizations/referrals as requested.
• Highschool graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be able to obtain a BLS certification.
• MA Certification and phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
• This is not a Morrow County Health District benefit eligible position.
