Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Neurology clinics. Under supervision of physicians and nurses, you will perform patient assessments, basic diagnostic procedures, specimen collection, document care, monitor changes, and maintain exam areas and supplies.

The Medical Assistant supports {Neurology} providers at Lake Cumberland Physician Practices (LCPP) by providing high-quality clinical care and administrative support. This role is essential in ensuring efficient clinic operations, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience. The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and administrative teams to support both patient flow and revenue cycle processes.

How you'll contribute

A Medical Assistant (MA)who excels in this role:

• Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
