Job summary

Providence’s Swedish Health Services DBA Swedish Medical Group in Seattle seeks a Medical Assistant II to support licensed practitioners and assist in patient care. You will handle clinical tasks under supervision and follow clinic policies to ensure safe, efficient care.

Candidates must have hands-on medical assisting training or MA apprenticeship, Washington MA certification, BLS within 30 days, and 6 months healthcare and 6 months MA experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on medical assisting training.
• Graduate of an MA apprenticeship program.
• Completed two years of medical training in the US Armed Forces.
• At least one year as a medical assistant with vitals, injections, and meds.
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - AHA within 30 days of hire.
• 6 months healthcare experience.
• 6 months MA experience.

Job description

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants. Or
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program. Or
• Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces. Or
• Coursework/Training Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. Or
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
• 6 months Healthcare experience.
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
