Job summary

Providence seeks a Medical Assistant II to support licensed practitioners in delivering patient care in our Seattle clinic. This role builds on MA I responsibilities and requires adherence to established policies and procedures.

Ideal candidates possess WA MA certification, BLS, and healthcare experience. You will contribute to a team focused on patient-centered care and operational excellence within our outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program with hands-on clinical training.
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification required upon hire.
• National Provider BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience and MA duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed practitioner to provide patient care per policy.
• Perform MA II duties and maintain clinic workflows.
• Take vital signs, administer injections and medications as directed.
• Support patient flow and documentation in the EHR.

Job description

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
• Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
• Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Or equivalent educ/experience
• Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months Healthcare experience.
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience.
