Job summary

Swedish Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant II to work under the supervision of a licensed practitioner, assisting in delivering patient care and performing MA I duties for the assigned clinic. The role requires competency in clinical tasks and adherence to established policies and procedures.

The candidate should have completed MA training or apprenticeship, with at least one year of MA experience including vital signs and injections.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training.
• Graduates of registered MA apprenticeship programs are preferred.
• Two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces is eligible.
• Minimum one year of MA work experience including vital signs, injections, and medication administration is required.
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 6 months healthcare experience.
• 6 months MA experience.

Responsibilities

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or
• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or
• Coursework/Training: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or
• Coursework/Training: Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration or
