Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Norwalk, CT is seeking a Medical Assistant to deliver direct patient care under provider supervision. The role includes taking vitals, patient history, screenings, and handling health maintenance while performing clerical duties in EPIC EMR.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited Medical Assistant diploma or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification, plus BLS, with credentials maintained throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• At least one year of direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision, including vitals, history, screenings and health maintenance.
• Provide indirect care such as scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart prep and prior authorizations.
