Job summary

Bethany Medical, a large independent multi‑specialty group in Central North Carolina, seeks a CMA/RMA to join our Mt. Airy team. The role supports patient care across multiple specialties, including phlebotomy, EKGs, spirometry, immunizations, and EMR data entry.

Certifications CMA, RMA, NCMA, or ABR‑OE are required (or obtainable within 6 months). Prior experience in family practice or neurology is preferred, and multilingual abilities are a plus for this growing practice.

Qualifications

• One of the following certifications is required (or must be obtained within 6 months of hire) — CMA, RMA, NCMA, or ABR‑OE.
• 1+ years of experience in Family Practice, Neurology, Pain Management or Internal Medicine is preferred.
• Multilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and support across a multi‑specialty practice.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, spirometry and immunization administration.
• Collect specimens and enter data into the EMR accurately.
• Educate patients and collaborate with the care team for continuity of care.

Roles/Responsibilities are not limited to the following for the Medical Assistant:

Required Licenses/Certifications for Medical Assistant:

• CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants)
• RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists)
• NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)
• ABR-OE- Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants)

• 1 + years of experience in Family Practice, Neurology, Pain Management, and Internal Medicine is preferred.
