Job description

This is a full-time, benefitted role at our MRI Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

The hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

No weekends, holidays, or call. Free parking!

Who you are:

As an MRI Medical Assistant at the MRI Center in Fairfax, Virginia, you are key to maintaining the schedule and patient flow with our 6 MRI machines (largest outpatient MRI Center in North America). You are at your best when our patients need you the most.

What you'll do:

  • Provide quality customer service, explains all studies to patients in a clear manner, and provide information and resources to patients and family.
  • Put forth a continuous positive, professional, and caring attitude with all patients and their families.
  • Set up the imaging room to coincide with the examination being performed
  • Start IV access prior to procedures
  • Ensure the schedule and patient flow of all 6 MRI machines are running in a timely manner
  • Safely transfer patients to and from imaging table and wheelchairs.
    1. Position the patient, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and modesty
  • Assume other related duties as requested.


What you'll bring:
  • 1+ years' experience in medical office, radiology office is highly preferred
  • Ability to initiate IVs is highly preferred
  • Medical Assistant (MA) certification or MRI Tech Aide certification is required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Excellent communication skills
