Job summary

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a busy dermatology practice in Montgomery, AL. You will collaborate with a team of professionals, manage patient records, assist with non-invasive procedures, and educate patients on skin health.

The ideal candidate has customer service experience, is computer literate, and willing to obtain CPR. Dermatology experience and MA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Must be computer literate.
• CPR certification strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 4 weeks.
• Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and vital signs.
• At least one year of Dermatology experience preferred.
• MA certificate of completion/diploma from medical vocational program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating skin conditions of patients.
• Assessing & updating medical history of patients.
• Keeping a record of patients’ dermatological symptoms.
• Analyzing info regarding the conditions of skin health.
• Informing patients about proper and available treatments.
• Conducting non-intrusive medical procedures.
• Educating patients about preventive skin care.
• Screening patients and employees daily upon entry.
