Pay Range

This range is provided by CenterWell Senior Primary Care. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range: $40,000.00/yr - $52,300.00/yr

Position Overview

The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care, responsible for both administrative duties and patient care activities. Tasks include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, administering medications/vaccines, performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, conducting diagnostic tests, sterilizing equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting in electronic medical records. The role involves collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers and delivering direct patient care within certification scope. The position requires working within defined policies but allows discretion over prioritization and timing. Standard policies and procedures guide the work, with some room for interpretation and independent judgment.

Minimum Requirements
  • Successful completion of MA training or certification, or 5+ years of experience with provider approval
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Registration (Arizona, Indiana, South Carolina)
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • Over 1 year of MA experience
  • Experience with Value Based Care, HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, CAHPS/HOS
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (must pass proficiency exam)
Additional Information

This role qualifies for a $2000 sign-on bonus. The position is full-time (40 hours/week), with a pay range of $40,000 - $52,300 annually, depending on location and experience.
