APPS Paramedical is one of the largest paramedical companies in the United States, offering nationwide coverage as we complete insurance physicals for people applying for life, health, or disability insurance products.
The Georgia office for APPS is seeking qualified medical professionals to perform these exams efficiently and professionally on behalf of the insurance company.
Job Summary:
- Our independent contractors (ICs) are self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision while conducting quality exams using their medical expertise.
- Exams are performed on a mobile basis at the client's home or office and may include blood draws, medical histories, signatures, vital signs, saliva samples, and 12-lead EKGs.
- It is essential to adhere to all compliance, safety policies, and procedures, while maintaining sensitivity to client confidentiality and accuracy in data collection.
- Exam durations vary from approximately 15 minutes to over an hour, depending on requirements.
Hours:
- Set your own schedule! Exams are available 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
- Many contractors have full-time jobs and use this opportunity to supplement their income.
- Appointments are scheduled for you, allowing you to focus on performing the exams.
Reimbursement:
- Up to $25.00 per completed case, based on performance and experience.
- Reimbursements are made bi-weekly via direct deposit.
Territory:
Choose your own territory by selecting the zip codes you wish to work within.
Orientation:
A 6-hour orientation is provided to verify your skills and familiarize you with paperwork and our website.
Equipment:
- We provide equipment such as tablets, EKG machines, and centrifuges for rent or purchase.
- Use of personal equipment is considered but not guaranteed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience and familiarity with vital signs.
- Proficiency with tablets/computers and scanners is required.
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients or home health is preferred.
- EKG experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- References, background check, and drug testing are part of the hiring process.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
