Sign-on bonuses for MaineHealth Medical Assistants:

$4,000 for 0-1 years of experience (full time)

$5,000 for 1+ years of experience (full time)

MaineHealth Pediatrics - Belfast is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA). The MA supports patient care and administrative tasks in a team-based environment, ensuring smooth patient flow. The role functions under the license of the supervising physician or advanced practice provider when performing clinical responsibilities.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following: graduation from an accredited vocational or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience, completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program with 6 months of clinical experience, or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider setting.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current certification from AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT preferred or achieved within one year. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date. NH Med Tech License or NH EMT/National Registry EMT license required for positions in New Hampshire.
• Experience: At least 6 months of clinical experience with certification or 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
