Medical Assistant - Medical Scribe

Location: Asheville, NC

Pay From: $18 per hour

MUST:

1. At least 1 year of medical office experience in a private medical setting
2. Scribe experience
3. Strong typing skills
4. Ability to room patients, take vitals and histories
5. Experience calling in prescriptions
6. Checking patients in and out
7. EMR experience
8. Ability to verify insurance
9. Strong customer service skills

DUTIES:

• Room patients
• Draw blood
• Assist physicians with procedures
• Take patient histories
• Process prescriptions
• Update EMR with patient information
• Write orders for tests and therapies
• Triage patients over the phone and assist with scheduling
• Call in prescriptions
